Dear Charles and Julie, I just learned of your loss of Trigg and I am so deeply sorry. Words can not express my sadness at this news. Charles I know how proud you were of Trigg. I also know the love you have for your children. My daughter Leighton called me yesterday with the news. My heart is so heavy for you. Cele and I had no idea . I know that there are no words to comfort you. You have always been such a loving father, and a wonderful friend. My prayers are that God grants you peace in your heart.

As a parent I can only imagine your devastation at the loss of your beloved son,Trigg.Hopefully you can find solace and comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father will receive him lovingly as will our family members that have preceded him.

Trigg Jackson Hughes looks much like his Dad did when I first met him, although a bit older. Char flew to Salt Lake City UT to engage me as a family genealogist. And I was amazed at his maturity and savvy about the world around him. Trigg displays that same maturity and savvy about the world. Mama just called me last night and told me about what happened to Trigg. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good kid. I still remember sitting at the lunch table in 5th grade with him and Steven showing off my too cool Darth Maul boxers. When I started public school and he stayed at Cornerstone, and then went to Central when I was there, we hardly ever talked but he was always a nice person when we ran into each other. He will truely be missed.

I was sorry to learn that your dear son passed away. Please take comfort in knowing that your family's many friends and acquaintances are holding you up in prayer.

Mother told me yesterday of the passing of your son, and wanted you to know that you and your family are and will continue to be in my prayers. I know that nothing can ease the pain from this loss, but it is a comfort to know that Trigg is in the loving arms of Jesus, and He will never let him go.

We just found out about Trigg's passing! "We really don't know what to say as "I am so sorry for your loss" just isn't enough! He was a wonderful young man. He must have been to good to stay here, so God called him home. If there is ANYTHING we can do, please feel free to call us.

I was deeply saddened to read of the loss of such an outstanding young man. I worked at Cornerstone for a couple of years and both Trigg and his sister, Hannah, were among my favorites. They were both so sweet and unaffected by all that life had given them.

There is a poem, IF, that strongly appllies to Trigg. One line reads that if you can walk with kings yet not lose the common touch that you are indeed a man. Trigg was well on his way to becoming a Man among men. We will only know the answer as to why he was "chosen" before we thought it was time, when God calls us all to stand before the throne.

I know that right now words are just that, words. But please know that myself, along with a host of others are truly grieving with you at this time.

Our deepest condolences to your family. My children and I had the opportunity of meeting your son a couple of summers ago. We happened to be traveling and had vehicle problems and were stranded at nighttime. Trigg and a friend drove by us and quickly turned around to offer us help. They unfortunately didnt have the items needed to help us so promised to return to help as they were close to home and would come back with what was needed. We wondered if they would return and prayed that they would. They did indeed return, assisted us and then followed us to a nearby service station to make sure we made it safely. My children who were also attending CHS at the time were quite impressed that your son was so kind and helpful. I as a mom was more than impressed and grateful for your son's kindness and help. My kids are away at college now and when I read the obituary this week, I asked them if they knew Trigg as he was there age and they both immediately recalled that night and were both sorry to hear of your loss as I am. Our prayers are with you and your family. My Our God be with you and strengthen you in this time of loss.
