To Tiger and Diane,
Your dad taught me to fly at Soldotna Air Service back in 69, he flew my dad out to the fish camp, and was a great friend of my father-in-law Fred Moody. He was a great instructor, pilot and friend. On a trip to ANC one time, Troy introduced me to Don Sheldon who was fueling at Merrill Field. I still fly and think of Troy every time I lift off the runway. I miss Dean too.I went to KCHS with all of you, graduated in 71.

PS. Diane, I know you had a nickname in high school, and it wasn't Diane, but I can't remember what it was, I would love to hear from you.

He was a great man & a good friend. My wife and I have been guests of troy. We stayed at the run ways in our RV. Troy allow us to enjoy Alaska and the fishing on the Kenai.

Troy was a wonderful human being whom cared for every one he came in contact with. A legend in Flying in Alaska. I rode many times with him (Tiger and Dean) from Anchorage to Kenai while working for Unocal. He always held respect to everyone he met and everyone was a friend to him, and in turn, he had even greater respect from those he touched.

To Troy's Family,
Troy was the best friend I ever had. He saved my life more than once during the 60's and early 70's.
Loved him like a brother. It's a shame we didn't visit more over the years.
RIP, Murrell Bratcher

I met Troy while working at the Ahwatukee post office back in the early to mid 90's. He always had a big smile and a funny story to tell us window clerks, and best of all he would leave us all with a 'happy balloon'. It just made our day!
Keep us smiling Troy!

I remember Troy's son flying my husband and I back from a fun day and night from our land at Funny River, many years ago, also remember when my son, Jim, flew the newspaper run for Troy to and from Anchorage, as a beginner pilot. Lots of people have memories of Troy and his achievements. May he rest in peace and God's blessings on his family,

Troy was never to busy to lend a helping hand. He taught me a lot about "weather" flying. I will miss him. I will always remember him.

Troy was a true friend. We spent great times together both in Phoenix and Alaska and everywhere in between. He took me flying in Alaska in spite of how he was feeling. He loved to be in the sky. Troy, have a wonderful and safe flight on your last journey. God bless you baby. You and Hank have a great time but not too much fun til we all get there. Love you.

I remember Troy taking my breathe away as he careened out of the sky at the Book of the Play in Soldatna on Cotton Moore's homestead.

He purposely stalled his airplane and headed directly at the ground only to pull up at the last minute. What a kind gentle man with a great smile and genuine warmth.

May his last trip into the sky be as God's Co-Pilot.

Bon Voyage good friend.
