Troy Sikes Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 19, 2025.
Troy Nolan Sikes, 78, passed away on February 5, 2025, in Chandler, Arizona.

A Chandler native, Troy carried a deep connection to his hometown throughout his life. After serving his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, he built a successful career in the food service brokerage industry before transitioning into sales with ProClean Inc. Later, he retired from Western Pest Control.

Troy had an unmistakable presence-His humor was infectious with a booming laugh heard across the room. A natural gift for storytelling made him unforgettable to those who crossed his path. He never met a stranger and had an innate ability to bring warmth and laughter wherever he went.

Troy found joy in spending time with family and good friends. An avid golfer, and Arizona State University football fan, he cheered the Sun Devils on through every season. Top fuel Racing was a favorite hobby along with woodworking projects during time spent at the family cabin.

He is survived by wife, Joni Sikes; his son, Cole Sikes, and family; sister, Jewel Sikes; and nephew, Dax Sikes, and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alva Sikes, and brother, Clifford Sikes.

A celebration of Troy's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, at the Sun Lakes Cottonwood Clubhouse Saguaro Room from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., where friends and loved ones may gather to honor his memory with stories and shared moments of joy.

May those who knew him find comfort in the memories he leaves behind-and in stories told and laughter shared. A life well-lived.

The greatest memory I have of Troy during our Western Exterminator days was debating the state of Arizona football. I would very much look forward to Monday mornings as we over-coached the Sun Devils.
