Tucker Jase Christensen

Tucker Jase Christensen was born in Portland, Oregon on July 24th, 1985 to Tim and Barb Christensen. Tucker was one of three boys and was raised on a dairy farm in Tillamook, Oregon. Tucker loved life and enjoyed spending every moment he could outdoors with his brothers Alan and Douglas. Growing up Tucker loved hunting, fishing, and sports. Tucker graduated from Tillamook High School in 2004 and attended TBCC while working for his Dad at Oil Can Henrys until 2007. After a car accident, Tucker set out with determination to make the most of his second chance. His passion for life was contagious. His faith in God was evident to everyone he met and he touched many lived by sharing his testimony. Tucker knew how to live every second in the moment and he touched many lives with his positive attitude and compassion. Tucker met the love of his life, Sally Murray, while attending Oregon State University in 2009. They quickly fell deep in love and were married on August 24, 2013 in Oakridge, Oregon. 2013 was a beautiful year with their marriage and graduation. Tucker received a degree in Forest Management with a minor in Business. Following graduation and marriage, Tucker and Sally moved to Roseburg, Oregon and purchased a home. They loved remodeling the house, going on walks, adopting their fur-baby Hank, and genuinely enjoyed spending every moment together. Tucker enjoyed forestry and began his career with Oregon Dept. of Forestry in Tillamook as a wildland firefighter where he created many life-long friends. After graduating with his forestry degree, Tucker worked for Swanson Group in Roseburg. In 2015 Tucker returned to ODF in Toledo as a stewardship forester. Tucker passed away at his home on March 8, 2017 at age 31. Tucker loved his wife and family. He leaves behind his wife Sally Christensen, parents Tim and Barb Christensen, brothers Alan and Douglas Christensen, and his Grandfather Bill Sherin. Tucker also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Gerry Sherin and his aunt Linda Dye. Tucker had an infectious smile and touched many people with his passion for God and life. His service will be held at the First Christian Church in Tillamook, Oregon on Sunday, March 19th, 2017 at 2:30pm. An Oregon State University forestry scholarship fund is being established in Tucker's name, donations should be submitted at any US Bank branch in the "Tucker Christensen Memorial Fund."
