Tyler Hanson

Tyler Duane Hanson, 31, passed away December 26, 2024, in Phoenix, AZ. He was born January 25, 1993, in Huron, South Dakota to Heather Lynn Bullis and Brian Kelly Hanson.

At age 4 he moved with Brian, his father and Marti Seurer to Winchester, VA where Tyler received his education. As a young boy Tyler enjoyed hockey, loved to swim and the great outdoors. Tyler spent a considerable amount of time with his grandparents. Tyler was very close to Diana, who was his mother figure.

Tyler began his love for wheels, starting with hot wheels and at age 3 when he received his quad. He was rewarded at age 7 for all "A Honor Roll" with his first dirt bike. He proceeded to skateboards, BMX bike to a larger dirt bike and eventually designed and built a free style bike.

Although Tyler had 2 half-brothers and a half-sister on his mother's side, he was used to growing up an only child. That is until Brian met Jennifer McGrane. He found himself with 3 new stepsisters and a stepbrother, JenaLee McGrane, Jacqueline, Joseph, and Justina Long. Going from a family of 2 to now having a family of 7 was hard for him at first but eventually they bonded, and it just became the way of life.

Around the age of 16 the family of 7 moved to Denver, CO for his father's work. Tyler attended Thomas Jefferson High School where he made many new friends.

Tylers first job was at Beau Jos pizza as a bus boy until his uncle Chris got him into cabling. It was something he was interested in and very good at. His exceptional electronic ability was recognized, and he joined the union where he received his apprenticeship and journeyman's license. He became a Voice Data Video Technician planning and installing data and voice circuit feeders, security systems and telecommunications devices. He was employed by many well-known companies. He installed massive speakers at Mile High Stadium, telecommunications for multiple hospitals in the Denver area as well as the security for the Colorado Supreme Court Judges chamber making his mark in the Denver community.

Tyler was adventurist, loving and compassionate. He loved music. Going to shows and concerts was one of his favorite things to do, especially if it was Dubstep.

At age 19 Tyler met the love of his life Angelica Rose Smith and 5 years later July 27, 2016, they welcomed their daughter Aaliyah Naomi Hanson. Being a first-time father and parent had its challenges, but there was nothing he loved more in the world. Aaliyah was aways on his mind and he cherished every minute he spent with her.

Tyler and his little family lived and moved around Colorado for the next 7 years and then decided to pack up and move to Phoenix to be closer to his grandparents and father.

The family attended Christ Church of the Valley where Aaliyah attended children's church and church Bible camp.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Aaliyah, the love of his life Angelica, father Brian, mother Heather, grandparents Diana and Gary Hanson, uncle Chris Hanson, cousin Dexter Hanson and step siblings Jacqueline, Joseph, and Justin and half-sister Samantha Hanson.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother Jennifer McGrane and stepsister JenaLee.

A celebration of his life will be held March 15, 2025, at the Foothills golf course, 3901 S. Carr St., Denver, CO from 10:30 - 1:30 with luncheon at 12 noon.
