I met Tyler through mutual friends at Comic-Con and hangout in the same friend circle after that. I was always amazed that he would be able to walk at the Con in the same type of shoes (loafers, not sneakers). If you've never been, just know that your feet are killing you at the end of the day, even in the most comfortable shoes.
When Tyler dressed up as Matt Murdock (a blind super who is a lawyer by day), it was always fun to walk the floor with him to see people's reactions and to have people ask for a picture of his cosplay. There were times that people actually thought he was blind or injured because his costume and makeup were so good.
At the end of each Con, Tyler would say "what a great Con" and would already be looking forward to the next year. Comic-Con won't be the same and I'll miss him greatly, but each year, we'll ensure that the Con is great for Tyler.

Tyler, Arnel, and I started going to San Diego Comic Con in 2013. We only got badges for two days, but had so much fun over that long weekend. Afterwards we talked about maybe going again next year, but weren´t completely committed to it. Of course we immediately changed our minds and decided we had to go again the following year. Since then, going to SDCC has become an annual tradition and our group has expanded as we´ve brought more friends and family to go with us.
SDCC won´t be the same without Tyler, but I´m grateful for all the memories we´ve made over the years and the photos we have to look back on. Some years we´d only get passes for one or two days but Tyler still looked forward to Comic Con and always expressed his excitement and appreciation to spend this time together with his friends. Sometimes he´d go off on his own watching panels from his favorite TV shows, I loved catching up with him at the end of the day swapping stories about what we saw. There´s something so nice about seeing someone in their element and that was SDCC for Tyler.
Genuine and kind, he was a true friend and will be dearly missed. This photo is from our last group dinner after SDCC 2023.

Tyler was one of the first people that I ever looked up to, and was the best role model I could have ask for. From sleepovers where I would take the top bunk after long nights of video games, to helping me play the ring toss and watching him perform at Obon. His passion for the things he loved was unmistakeable and he had such an ability to bring people in, as well as together, over those interests. Tyler was one of the most kind and caring people I have ever known.
I´ll miss you, Tyler, and I know you are watching over us.

Tyler was a real friend not only to our son Lucas but to our whole family. He was a good soul and a benevolent force-which isn't to say he didn't have a sharp, if subtle, sense of humor. He loved going to baseball games with his family, and to Comic-Con with his friends, and I always felt lucky that he chose to come play his guitar in our yard. Gaming in our living room will never be the same.

My favorite memory of Tyler is when he was teaching Marc drums and he let him wear his hat. Tyler we will miss your smile, your kindness and your friendship. Thank you for always talking to Marc about music, comics and super heroes.

Our memories of Tyler were from when he was younger. We had such a good time with the Montgomerys and Crocittos when we got together. This picture is from 1999 just before we moved to North Carolina. I remember Tyler as a happy kid, always smiling as this photo shows. We are so sorry for your loss. May you find some comfort knowing you are in our thoughts and prayers. With love, Erik and Michelle

I met Tyler when he was in Middle School with my oldest son Nicky. They shared their love of music, they played together in the band The Doppler Effect, and were great friends on through High School and beyond. Tyler was one of the kindest young men I have had the pleasure to know and he was a terrific friend. His sister Kristin came to help out in my Kindergarten class to see if she wanted to continue her teaching studies (she was great) and went on to become a Kindergarten teacher. My school district reserved a movie theatre to watch the opening of one of the Star Wars movies and I got tickets for Tyler and Nicky, we all had dinner before, and shared some laughs. We were all excited about seeing a brand new movie in the Star Wars series. I recently found some of Tyler's emails to me over the years whenever Nicky had a birthday coming up. Tyler always checked in with me to see if we were going to have a birthday dinner at our house or a "surprise" birthday get together. Tyler was a good friend, a talented musician, and a wonderfully thoughtful human being. He is already missed greatly.

Tyler and I first met interviewing when I interciewwd at Rockwell. He became my first friend in San Jose outside of my family. I'm grateful to have known him and thankful we continued our friendship even after I left the company. I send my deepest sympathy.

There are too many places and memories to count. But easily the most enjoyable is always SDCC. He used to tell me he had a nightmare that he´d miss his flight to San Diego or that he slept too long and woke up on the last day. The annual trek out to the con was the fastest 5 days there, and the longest 360 day wait.
In 2019 we made this fun little vacation video, which was like a 90s TV homage to going to comic con. Tyler and I wrote the song.

Tyler and I bonded over music as we both played guitar. I can´t believe he left this world so young - he will be remembered as a kind, talented young man. My condolences

To my first friend, may you rest in peace. My favorite memory of Tyler will always be decorating cupcakes for Valentine´s Day in Tahoe. "I don´t have any candy."
I´ll miss you until we meet again
