ATKINSON, N.H. — Udo H. Meinhold, 68, of Atkinson, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at his home.
Born, raised and educated in Bielefeld, Germany, he worked as an auto mechanic and later served in the German Air Force retiring as a Sgt. Major with 25 years of service.
He moved to Atkinson four years ago from Westkirchen, Germany where he had lived for 40 years and enjoyed walking, nature and the ocean.
He is survived by his wife Christel (Flore) Meinhold; a son, Frank Meinhold and his companion Regina Lippold and her children, Alex and Franzi, all of Winsen, Germany; a daughter and son-in-law, Martina and Donald White of Atkinson; grandchildren, Christopher White of Atkinson and Marcel Meinhold of Germany; a brother, Lothar Meinhold and a sister, Helga Bergmann, both of Germany.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service to be held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Atkinson Congregational Church, Main Street, Atkinson. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, N.H. Memorial donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 157 Main Dunstable Road, Nashua, NH 03060.
