Upendra Banik was an outstanding reproductive biologist with patents and excellent publications. He was very devoted to his Family,very conscientious in his work and showed much kindness and generosity of spirit. Upendra was always loyal to his family,friends,place of employment and to Canada. He always helped those in need and others who could benefit from his success in the U.S. And Canada.

A good and intimate friend fondly remembered.

Upen Banik was a great friend,a wonderful colleague,an outstandng reproductive endocrinologist,a devoted father and husband,exceptionally charitable to those in need,,compassionate to human frailities,a proud Canadian and proud of his wonderful Indian heritage and culture. Dear Banik family,
I went to elementary school with Neil Banik and Pompa is a student teacher of my class at my high school. Although I did not meet Upendra Kumar, I have had the honour to meet some members of it. My condolences go out to all of the family, I am very sorry for your loss.

May you be at peace at the sad occasion of the passing of your father. He was regarded as a great man by those that knew him, and those that interacted with him were fortunate to learn from his wisdom.

Death is always so untimely, but we have the occasion to remember the man that Dr Banik was, and the legacy he left behind.

I was fortunate to have been the son of a such great father. Dad was ambitious, adventurous, courageous, inspirational, warm, and kind-hearted. I shall always cherish the wonderful memories of family life with Dad, which included many road trips, weekend and Friday night ski trips to the Laurentians, family vacations across Canada and the United States, parties. Dad was inspired to establish a biomedical research company from scratch (Bioscan Continental), and I have many fond memories working with him during my student years.
