I still say I Love You,
But now there's no reply.
I always feel your presence
As if you never left my side.
I remember your comforting voice.
Now there's not a sound.
Only echoes from the past
Follow me around.
You're always by my side,
But I can't hold your hand.
The reason why God took you
I find hard to understand.
Summer days seem much shorter.
Dark nights just linger on.
Dreams turn into nightmares
When the one you love has gone.
But real love never fades.
It still burns like the sun.
Although they're far away,
Those memories go on and on.
Her spirit will never die
It shines like the stars.

Vaishali, I met you after 2 years at a party which was just 2 days before you left us and I had no idea that would be goodbye. This was our only and last picture that you suggested we take! I am so glad we did as now I have this beautiful picture of you always in my heart. I am still recounting all the conversations we have had over the years. You were such an energetic, jovial and a playful person - always trying to make everyone around you laugh and smile. You had a smile that would light up a room! You were so easy to talk to and made everyone feel welcome! I wish I could have talked more to you when we met last, but rest in peace dear friend until we meet again on the other side.

there haven’t been a lot of people in my life who’s advice I valued more than my moms. there also haven’t been a lot of people who have viewed life so similarly to me except for you. You were the person I turned to when my mom and I didn’t see eye because you were my second mom. You guided me with care and genuine honesty like no one else ever will. The amount of times I cried with you in your office and you would tell me “not to stress and how everything would be okay” made my problems seem so irrelevant, so small in the grand scheme of things. You helped me view life with joy, strength, and gratitude. I never told you how much I appreciated you in the glimpses of time I did see you in my life because I truly thought we would have more time for those conversations. This isn’t a goodbye because I know you are one of my angels now and I know you are watching over me. But, not a day will go by that I don’t think about you.
