I was so sorry & shocked to hear of Val's passing. I worked with Val in Mary Kay several years ago. She was always so giving with her time and knowledge. She was such a bright star, positive, caring and confident.She loved her family dearly.I will miss her. You are all in my prayers. May God protect & carry you.

I was so sorry to hear of Val's passing. I didn't know Val well, but as a member of Parkview community, I remember all the volunteering she did for the community.
I work at Andy's IGA Bakery, and she used to order hotdog buns for Parkview School's events. She would order the buns and then pick them up later. She always had a positive attitude and was so easy to talk to. I will also miss her coming in with her daughter to get a kids cookie. We miss you Val.

Val and I worked together at Canada Trust, Northwoods many years ago. The clients loved her. I remember people commenting about how she "glowed" when she was pregnant. I remember the CT Ski trips and Volleyball Tournaments. She was a great lady. She will be forever missed by all.

Val's energy and spirit will truly be missed by any of us that were lucky enough to have crossed her path. Her warm spirit and enthusiasm had such a refreshing energy that it was hard not to get caught up in whatever her current cause might be. We will miss seeing her at the rink and hearing about "the latest".......because she was never one to just sit around doing nothing.
Who else but Val (knowing that it had to be done right, and taking matters into her own hands) would plan everything right up till the end, and write her own obituary to boot!

Val had a special gift: she created communities wherever she went. We were so grateful to be included on the first leg of her final journey; her generosity in letting us travel alongside helped us as we grieved the loss of this beautiful spirit. She was and is one of the "best" women that I've ever met. She made me want to be a better me. She inspired and motivated so many of us in our community and her passing is heart-breaking. Amazing how 1 person can have such a positive influence in the community. Val was such a dedicated volunteer, a nice & supportive friend, a fun Zumba partner and she sure threw a great pool party! We are blessed to have had her in our lives.

I heard about Val Bright long before I actually met her... It seemed that if I need to know anything about what was going on in our Parkview Community, Val was the one to contact. If I need to book the hall--call Val. If I wanted to rent a table for the Community Garage Sale--call Val. If I wanted to drop off baking for the Christmas Craft Sale---call Val. When I went to my first Parkview Board Meeting, it was Val who stepped up to chair it in the President's absence. When I attended my first Parkview Volunteers' Appreciation Night, Val was in the kitchen working the event. This amazing lady was everywhere!
I will never forget one night (after a playschool board meeting that ran particularly late into the evening) my fellow board members and I came upon Val, all by herself, sanding down the walls of the hall so it could be repainted. It was that moment that I realized Val was in a league all of her own. Whether it was painting the ceiling in the Boardroom, getting a deal on round tables for the hall, or picking the white rocks out of the mulch, Val just always took it upon herself to do what needed to be done. And she did all in addition to being a wife and mother of three!!!
I got to know Val better as I watched her coordinate the many renovation projects at the hall. A seemly endless job to which Val brought her unbelievable energy and dedication. It was because of Val that that I joined the Parkview Facilities Committee. Not only was Val an invaluable member of this committee, it was she who always brought wine and munchies for everyone to each meeting!

I was thrilled when Val asked me to help her and Tony put some finishing touches on their beautiful home. It was during one of our design meetings that Val confided in me that she never dreamed that she would have the life that she had had. She was truly grateful…

Tony, Jonathan, Taylor, and Carly Ann, my heart breaks for you. I am so sorry for your unimaginable loss.

Val, you are an amazing woman. You have inspired me to always do what I can for others. We will miss you always…
