Doris Gibson FORT WORTH -- Doris Corbin Gibson, 96, passed away Tuesday night Dec. 12, 2017. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan 20, at United First Methodist Church in Graham, Texas. MEMORIALS: Memorial Donations may be made to Silas Morton Chapter NSDAR Scholarship Fund at 2101 Cherokee Loop, Graham, Tx 76450; Graham First United Methodist Church, or Cal Farley's. Doris was born in Muskogee, Okla. January 30, 1921. She lived most of her life in Graham retiring from the Texas Highway Department. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Silas Morton Chapter NSDAR, CLSC, Lions Club, and Country Club. Doris enjoyed bridge and with her husband, Charles, ballroom dancing. Doris was also a member of the Colonial Dames, Colonial Dames of XVII Century and Daughters of 1812. She served the Texas Society of NSDAR as Librarian, Recording Secretary and Chaplain. She was preceded in death by parents, Helen and Howard Corbin; her husband; and sister, Kathleen Green. SURVIVORS: Daughter, Sharon Allen and husband and daughter, Dawn Ellison; granddaughter, Courtney Amason and husband, Bryan; great grandchildren, Blayne and Myles Amason, and Codi Walters and her husband, Kaden; nieces and their families and great friends in Graham and Fort Worth.
