My condolences Kelly to you and your daughter on the loss of your wife and mother.

Loved Valerie. She was so funny and quirky. I am so sad to know that she passed away. I miss her already.

My deepest sympathy is with Valerie´s family and friends at this difficult time. May the fond memories of your loved one always be cherished. Also may Almighty God of strengthen you all in the coming days, months and years

Valerie and I carpooled together in high school and after she saw the late 60's or early 70's movie version of Romeo and Juliet she said she wanted to act professionally . She could sing, dance and act. She accomplished her dream and more.


My sister and I were in London in 1973 and ran into Valerie at the subway stop-what a delightful surprise. Valerie came to one of our high school class reunions. Those two visits were our last, other than seeing her on TV or at the movies!

Folks who, for whatever reason, watch a lot of TV well know Mahaffey's pretty, expressive and engaging face because she played so many roles in so many successful shows with such distinction. Condolences to Valerie's loved ones.

My condolences to Valerie's family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be missed by us fans who enjoyed and appreciated the work she did to transport us from our day-to-day living to another world. Love, Maureen Fleming Clark.

Valerie and I were in choir together at UT Austin. I was always so happy to catch her on television or in a movie, watching her living her dream.

I´m so sorry for your loss. I didn´t know Valerie well, but we often saw each other at auditions and I always deeply admired her wonderful, singular talent and her kindness. Such a beautiful and open spirit! I´m sending loving thoughts to you all.
