I am so saddened to learn of Val's passing. She was such a kind and caring person. Ron and I and Val and Don had many fun times together. Since both of us were widowed (married to brothers) we often talked about taking weekend trips up north or to Florida to visit her cousin. Unfortunately we never got the chance. I will miss our bi-monthly phone calls. What a happy reunion she'll have with Donnie.

We are so sorry to hear of Val's passing. Our deepest sympathies go to her surviving family. I married into the family 23 years ago and my fondest memories are of her and Uncle Don coming over to pass the time with my father in law, Gerald Miller. We enjoying time spent together as a family. Val was always kind hearted and welcoming. Val I hope you are at peace and enjoying your time with loved ones wherever you may be.

I am so deeply saddened by Val's loss. I have so many great childhood memories of Val. She has always stuck up for me and even saved my life. One of those memories was walking along the banks of St. Mary's lake, as a small child with her and other family members, when I suddenly fell in. I still vividly remember looking up through the water to see Val reach in and grab me.

I've been fortunate to have remained in contact with Val even though we are at opposite ends of the country. She always kept up on Florida news and checked on us constantly after hurricanes or any storms. She never forgot me or my wife's birthdays and remembered us at Christmas. I also learned that Val and I shared a common hobby in restoring old vehicles. Val would send pictures of her beautiful, classic truck and I would send pictures of my vintage car. We often talked about visiting one another and taking each other out for a classic cruise.

Val (Ralph) you were kind, considerate and accepting. I am really going to miss communicating with you cousin. You left a whole in everyone's heart that knew you.

Back in the day when I was the little kid hanging out with younger sister Vicki,Val was my cool cousin that had the long hair gorgeous tan and beautiful smile. What fond memories I have of visiting St Mary's Lake and Hubbell Dr and meeting the Pot Belly Pig! I am saddened and want you to know how terribly you are missed. Love always, Cousin!

Childhood memory; I couldn't have been 7 or 8, I was sporting some new corduroy bell bottoms and a purple shirt, (it was pretty slick for the time), Val and Vicki over visiting, and in my super smooth new outfit Val tried to teach me how to "do the hustle". I'm dating us all, but that was a time I tell ya. (I never did get it right) Then going over to visit them now and then, we all played monopoly for hours in the basement. Always so pleasant, mild, gentle and kind. I moved south and as people do we all went the ways of the wind. Every single memory I have of her will be that of kindness, although she set the bar a little high, let us all strive to be a little more Val.
