Valerie Reese

Valerie Diane Reese passed away on March 31, 2025, in Morristown, New Jersey. Born on May 21, 1960, in Morristown to Ira and Lucille Reese, Valerie lived a life filled with purpose, joy, and devotion.

A proud graduate of Morristown High School's Class of 1978, Valerie was active in many school organizations from the yearbook committee, color guard, to majorette baton twirler. She later attended Dover Business College and began her professional journey as an Executive Secretary at AT&T.

Valerie's vibrant spirit and warm heart made her a cherished presence in every community she touched. Her dedication to maintaining lifelong connections led her to serve actively on her high school class reunion committee, where she delighted in reconnecting and including all.

Deeply rooted in faith from an early age, Valerie accepted Jesus Christ as her savior through the Church of God in Christ. Her spiritual path led her to serve passionately in various ministries throughout her life. She held roles such as chaplain at Saint Clare's Dover Hospital, Dover, New Jersey and served on the Evangelist Board for Reaching Out for Jesus Christian Center in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. As founder of Mind, Body, and Spirit Ministries, she gave tirelessly of herself wherever called. In December 2019, she was ordained by Bishop Evelyene Davis at the First Reformed Church of Boonton.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jeffrey and Ira. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Sharon Reese; nephews Jeffrey and Michael Reese; goddaughter Tatiana; along with numerous cousins, friends, and ministry colleagues who were blessed by her light.

Valerie's legacy of love and service continues to inspire all who knew her.
