Vella Jo Martin

My first childhood friend was Charlie Martin. I spent many an afternoon at the Martin's house and Jo always welcomed me with a warm smile. I will always remember her kindness and generosity.

One of my fondest memories was when Charlie and I were learning how to ride a bike. She and LG would tirelessly push us back and forth on their driveway until we finally were able to ride on our own.

As we grew older and our bike escapades grew more risky, we would make bike ramps on their sidewalk and tryout our best Evel Knieval moves all the while with Jo and LG encouraging us.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. May the peace of God comfort you during this difficult time.
