I will never forget the fear I felt when Bill and I came home from the Navy with our newborn daughter. I was sure she would be disappointed in me for producing a grandchild who was less than perfect. As we pulled into the driveway, she came bounding down the stairs with her arms out and a huge smile on her face. My fear melted away. She loved our daughter unconditionally way before it was cool to do so. Her support and love helped me to become the mother ALL my daughters deserved. Thank you Velma.
