Veneranda "“Nanda”" Flores

Veneranda "Nanda" Flores went home to our Lord on April 7, 2015, her earthly remains have returned home to be buried among her family and within the community she grew up in.

"Nanda" was a loving, caring, wonderful person who will be greatly missed.

"Nanda" was born on Oct. 19, 1990, to Paula Gutierrez and Lorenzo Flores.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alfredo Sr. and Guadalupe Gutierrez; paternal grandparents, Ignacio "Nash" Jr. and Cleo Flores; uncles, Joe P. Gutierrez, Michael Dominguez, Francisco Ramirez, Roberto Garcia and Steve Flores; aunts, Lynn Gonzales, Mary Jean Flores Ortiz, Josephine Garcia, Louise Flores; and grand-aunt, Corrine Garcia.

Veneranda is survived by her father, Lorenzo Flores; mother, Paula Gutierrez and friend, Daniel Duran; brothers, Felix Flores of Denver, Lorenzo "Lozo" Flores and wife, Courtney, of Jacksonville, Fla., Alfredo Flores and wife, Maria, of Las Vegas; one sister, Alicia Flores of Dayton, Ohio; nieces, Zamarys, Romina, Lucia, Citlali, Allora, Marisol and Gabriella; nephew, Oziel; Nanda also leaves behind her "Padrinos" Alfredo "Kiko" Gutierrez Sr. and Josephine "Chepa" Sena; aunts, Martha Duran Dominguez of Albuquerque, Ana Marie Page and husband, Guy, of Ames, Iowa, and Hilda Flores Ramirez of Las Vegas; uncles, Anthony "Shultz" Gutierrez and wife, Priscella, of Serafina, Jacobo "Jackie" Gutierrez, Rudy Flores and wife, Carla, all of Las Vegas, and John Flores of Albuquerque; God-sister, Marisol Guadalupe Madrid and many cousins and friends.

Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas. Funeral service will be conducted at 9 a.m. on Wednesday also at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment of cremains will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as urn honorary bearers: Tina Sedillo, Jacquelyn Gutierrez, Ashley Lucero, LoReina Trujillo, Trisha Flores, Rose Romero, Susana Salas and Joylyn Gomez.
