Vera & I became friends when Margaret & my daughter, Tessa, were in grade school. They went on to be college roommates & remain close friends to this day. During those years & before we both moved away, Vera & I used to get together for lunch & visit. She knew I would like to paint & she tried very hard to teach me but although she had the patience I didn´t learn how to paint & blend colors - but we sure had fun laughing at my sad technique. She was truly an impressive artist & I believe she could have been a well-known painter but she was satisfied to enjoy painting for her family & friends. She was generous with her gift & we are lucky to have three of her works that we will always cherish with our hearts.

I have known Vera and her family since I was in 6th grade. Vera has painted a few painting for my family that still hang in their houses today. Vera was one of a kind for sure and will be missed.

I remember first meeting Vera at Rob and Teresa's former house. The grandkids were all there for Thanksgiving, along with Jacob. The grandkids and Jacob were on the floor and when Vera went and joined them, they all started laughing a lot. Afterwards, Jacob commented how Vera was really funny.

One of my favorite memories of Vera was Thanksgiving 2022 when she decided it was necessary to demonstrate her commitment to ongoing physical fitness rather than just talking about it. She came into the kitchen where we were working on dinner, or at least supervising with champagne flute in hand, and proceeded to do a set of pushups on the kitchen floor. So funny, and so Vera.

Vera was a sublimely talented artist and a lovely lady. She always greeted me with a warm hug and a kind word. My deepest condolences to her beloved family. May she rest in peace.
