VIRGINIA A. POIVEY, 88 WALWORTH, Wis. - Virginia A. Poivey, 88, of Walworth died Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2008, (her birthday), in Lakeland Hospital in Elkhorn, Wis. Virginia was born April 19, 1920, in Rockford, Ill., the daughter of Edward C. and Hazel (Kepplinger) Goerlitz. She married James Louis Poivey on Feb. 1, 1947, in Rockford; he died Feb. 1, 1997. Virginia was employed as an office worker/recep-tionist for an office supply company in Rockford and also Goerlitz Becknell Co. in Rockford. She was a member of Second Congregational Church in Rockford. Survivors include son, Michael J. (Denise) Poivey of Fontana, Wis.; grandchild, Hanna (Patrick) Begley; and great-grandchildren, Harrison, Isabella and William, all of New Jersey. Predeceased also by parents; and brother, John Goerlitz, on April 17, 2003. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, in Immanuel UCC Church, 111 Fremont St., Walworth, with the Rev. Elizabeth Hazel presiding. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials to Lakeland Animal Shelter, PO Box 1000, Elkhorn WI, 53121 would be appreciated.
