Vera S. Whitehead

Vera S. Whitehead 08/23/1933- VERA S. WHITEHEAD, 89, of Harlan, KY and wife to the late Harry W. Whitehead Sr., passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on July 11th, 2023. Daughter of the late Grace and George Stanton from Cawood, KY, Vera was a loving and compassionate Christian lady known for her kindness, grace, and devoted faith as a practicing member of the Church of God. Vera read the Bible morning, day and night since she loved the Word of God and practiced its teachings. Vera loved her God first, followed by her children always being there for them in their time of need. Vera is survived by two sons Harry Jr. and Charles Sr., six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren where her values will be carried on as a lasting legacy. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 18th at the Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home in Harlan, KY, followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery. The truest example of living life by conviction and faith, she will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always cherished in our hearts.
