Funeral services for Verlene Innerarity, 80, of Huntington will be held Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Joe Saffle officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Innerarity was born September 14, 1931 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Alta (Cryer) and Clyde Warren, and died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at her residence. She lived in Houston and was a nurse at Methodist Hospital, but spent most of her life in Huntington. Mrs. Innerarity was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and loved spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed working in her yard, sewing and quilting, and playing 42 with her friends. Mrs. Innerarity was a longtime active member of the Huntington First Baptist Church, and loved singing in the choir. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Albert H. Innerarity of Huntington; daughter, Peggy Thomas of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Barbara Innerarity of Huntington; grandchildren and spouses, Joseph and Renea Innerarity, Jennie and Tad Shirley, Justin Innerarity, Jeffry Thomas, Jay and Kristen Innerarity and Charles ìChuckî Thomas; one great-grandson; eight great-granddaughters; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Oleta Warren of Houston; sister, Doris Jo Rodriguez of Nacogdoches; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Innerarity was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Charles "Buddy" Thomas. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Innerarity¹s grandsons. Honorary pallbearer will be her great-grandson, Kyle Innerarity. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Huntington. Memories and condolences may be added at www.carrowayfuneralhome.com. I don't know of any person that touched my life with advice and kind words than this precious woman. I dont think I would be the man that I am today if I had never met Verlene and Albert. My condolences to the family. We will all miss the radiance that she had that could warm the room. A truly special lady.

I remember Verlene as a classmate in Zavalla. She was a super nice person and a good christian lady.Her brother, Clyde was in my wedding. I am sorry for your loss.

To the family, I am so sorry for your lose. It was a blessing to have been able to know Verlene. She was a beautiful person who always made everyone feel welcome. She would greet you with a smile on her face and a warm hug. She will be greatly missed by all.
