Verlin Bodenheimer Obituary
Verlin is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mamie Vera Wilson Bodenheimer. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Lenore Elizabeth Barlow; two daughters, Karon Sue Spillman and Shirley Smith; one step-son, Donald Wilson and his parents Frank and Mae Bodenheimer; three brothers and one sister.
His surviving children are one daughter, Linda Crawford and husband Charles; one son Kenneth Bodenheimer and wife Rita; two step-daughters, Evelyn Lowe and husband Tony, Brenda Moore; two step-sons, James Wilson and wife Ann, Robert Wilson and wife Susan.
He is also survived by four sisters, Fay Efird, Doris Loggins, Ruth Tesh and Gerry Alcon; two brothers, Jack Bodenheimer and wife Shirley, Wayne Bodenheimer.
Other survivors include 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Sechrest Funeral Service, 120 Trindale Road in Archdale. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Sechrest Funeral Service.

I am so sorry for your loss I am sorry I did not get to come by I forgot to come by so sorry he will be missed and I know he loved his wife he was faithful to her and dedicated he waited on her when he did not even feel good himself Nancy Thomas

A good hard working man is now in heaven celebrating with Mamie, both healed and whole again. I know the family and friends will miss them both here on earth but they have gone to their eternal home and the good thing is, we can see them again. Bodenheimer had a hard time here but that is all over and I am rejoicing that he is happy today in the arms of his Lord and Savior!! Would not of known what I would have done without him sometimes when I was struggling when younger. He could fix anything and I had some junk cars and something for him to tinker with all the time We worked together for a long time and I knew him as a man of his word, hard working to the core. He will be missed.
