Will always remember the classy women she was. Always well dress and well respected by all. We worked at the same school and she was loved by the students, faculty and parents, Miss her dearly!

Verna was one of the mainstays of the Democratic Party. She was always cheerful and helpful. She and her family had the other officers of the Party and me over to their lovely home for more than one great dinner. I am honored to be able to say I worked with her. My deepest sympathy to Joyce and the rest of her family.
Sincerely,
Kim Cox

To the King Family: Verna was one of the kindest and most inspiring persons I have ever known. I feel blessed and grateful to have known her. This is a simple prayer that President Kennedy loved:
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind always be at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
and the rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again,
May God Hold you in the palm of His Hand
May God Bless the King Family
