Vernell L Ogilvie

There were so many afternoons with warm cookies and a friendly smile during my childhood. I often think of Mrs. Ogilvie fondly and I was a lucky child to have had Ann as a friend. I loved the slide show and was not surprised to see that she was loved and surrounded by family all of her life. What a beautiful person.

My heart goes out to Vernell's family. She touched so many lives as an AFS volunteer. I loved working with her and she was a great friend and colleague.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. We enjoyed knowing her at Bonaventure. John & Paulette Conquergood.

As one of the many lucky students that Vernell Ogilvie launched on an AFS exchange, I want to express my gratitude for all of her efforts over so many years. She made a real difference in not only our lives, and in the lives of students hosted in Missouri, but she also affected all those connected with the exchanges in so many parts of the world. She had a great vision, one that we AFS alumni will always carry with us. My deepest condolences to the Ogilvie family.
