Vernon Skaggs Obituary
Vernon proudly served in the Army and the National Guard, along with owning and operating his own business for many years. He leaves behind his loving wife, Sue Skaggs, and their sons, Greg (Tonya), Scott, and Jason (Autumn) Skaggs. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Roy Skaggs, his mother, Pearl Brauner, and his brother, Matthew Skaggs.
Services to honor Vernon's life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at River of Life Church, 2265 Crums Ln, Louisville, KY.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 am, followed by a service at 12:30 pm. Vernon will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather, who left a lasting impression on those he knew.

Vernon always was so kind to me exactly when I needed it. Always a joke or funny story ready to share. He will be missed. Until we meet again in eterrnity. Love always.

My first memory of Vernon Skaggs is also the most special memory because I was ten years old and Vernon shared his little Debbies with Jason and I so we had little Debbie with our ice cream:)
I didn't find out till much later in life as an adult that he didn't just offer his little Debbies to anyone ...
But he was good to everyone. He was good to me:)

Veron was a great guy he made me laugh so many times when I wasn't myself I always asked him how he felt he always said with his fingers! No matter how he felt he always said hi a good man he was he is going to be missed. Prayers for the family! The Horton family

I was Freshman at LMHS in the band and Mr. Skaggs´ son Jason introduced us after a football game I think. He was awesome!
