Veronica was an outstanding lecturer in English Literature at Christ College in the late sixties and she blew us away with her passion, willingness to ask the insightful questions of institutional church and genuine encouragement of al the young women in her classes. I have only just learned of her death but I rejoice in having been blessed in knowing her and being profoundly influenced by her.

In 1968-69 we had the privilege of Sr Veronica as our Lit teacher at former Christ College Teachers' College Chadstone Victoria now Catholic University. I remember her saying that life is ODTAA (One Darn Thing After Another) This became the name of our student magazine. Her wonderful spirit and personality influenced so many of us and has certainly stayed with me throughout my life. I will light a candle for the repose of her soul in the old Venetian Catholic Church at the top of the Castro...may she rest in peace.

So proud to have Veronica on our Collins family tree. She blossomed fully and so led the way for those of us that follow. She was an eagle in sparrow-like form...an unlikely warrior who was not afraid to attach her tallons to causes that really matttered- the right for women to become priests, homosexual rights, Aboriginal rights, feminist causes and so many more re social justice. A voice that was heeded by so many, be it vocal or in literary form, with such recognition and respect. We honour your legacy dear elder cousin, Veronica. RIP.

To my friend and former Loreto, Kirribilli teacher... We spoke just over a month ago, you said we'd "do the restaurants" when I return to live in Australia. How you loved those trips to France, Spain, Italy and so many other places.

Love and prayers from Jayne in "la belle France" as you would always say

Veronica helped me at a critical time in my life, and was supportive of me over many years. She was a true inspiration for what it is to be a Christian with strong beliefs.I shall always count it a great privilege to have known her.

For more than 40 years Veronica was my inspiration and support. As a tutor, a Ph.D 'coach',a member of The Library Board of WA in my time as State LIbrarian, a reader of my novel and a lively dinner companion at her GumTree Cottage, she embraced the world of ideas, literature and fairness with her deep appreciation and love for humanity. She will be missed by many, already by me.
