Veronica Daylor Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 13, 2025.
Veronica "Spring" Daylor passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, in Port St. John, Florida, at the age of 81. Born on March 22, 1943, in Coventry, Rhode Island, Veronica lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to family.

A devoted Christian, Veronica's faith was the foundation of her life. She loved the Lord with all her heart and found strength and purpose in her unwavering belief. Her generosity touched many lives, offering comfort and support to those around her.

One of Veronica's greatest joys was baking-a passion that brought warmth to family gatherings and smiles to those who were fortunate enough to enjoy her creations. Whether it was a homemade treat or a heartfelt greeting card everyone could feel she cared

Family was at the center of Veronica's world. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles H. Daylor Jr., and leaves behind a loving family who will carry on her legacy. She is survived by her children: Elwin Austin III; Leda (Dan) Burr; Karen (Michael) Sisson; Patricia (Irving) Povelite; and Susan (Chris) Johnson. Her love extended through generations with 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

In her final moments, Veronica was surrounded by love. She took her last breath in the arms of her youngest daughter, Susan, while her oldest daughter, Leda; son-in-law Chris; and two grandchildren, Tiffany and Jazmine, stood by offering comfort.

Veronica's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her faith and love continue to inspire all who were blessed to be part of her life. May she rest in peace knowing she was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

Well, Mom, we celebrated your birthday without you for the first time. I picked up my phone to call you, then it hit me again! I love you Mom, I hope you had a great party in heaven. I miss you.

I'm going to miss you so much mom. I promise to do my best to carry on tradition with your baking making sweet treats for the holidays. You was truly an inspiration of strength and perseverance. Very independent and stubborn at times. I already miss the calls each day to talk about truly nothing. Love you always

I was a neighbor of miss spring for now 3 years and before that my best friend was her neighbor for 8 years. She was a beautiful soul and she´s truly missed by our kids who she watched grow over the years. Every holiday season she would bring warmth to our home by delivering her delicious treats of baked goodies! She was truly an amazing woman and loved life to the fullest! She never had nothing to talk about as she could tell you stories about her husband and all her kids and grandchildren every day of the year even if you heard the same story she was proud to tell you again! She will surely be truly missed. My condolences go to her family and friends.

Thinking about rides facing the back of that old station wagon with the window down getting gassed, Burger King drive-thru, and walking into the houses in East Greenwich that smelled like baked heaven. Getting my hand slapped for trying to sneak cake trimmings because they're going to be used to fill the gaps between layers! My special white chocolate Easter bunnies. You'll always be my Aunt Ronnie. God bless your peace.
