LAWRENCE, Veronica June 22, 1926 May 31, 2009 It is with heavy hearts the family of Veronica Eugenia Lawrence (Nee Veroba) announce her passing on Sunday, May 31, 2009 in Regina, SK at the age of 82 years. Veronica joins in heaven her husband Kenneth Lawrence; parents Joseph and Katherine Veroba; beloved sister Isabel; brothers-in-law Clayton Grimes, Don Johnson and Chuck Gheyssen. Left to cherish her memory are her children and grandchildren: Bonnie (Doug) Doyle of Regina, SK and their children Jodie (Clayton) Bzdel and Tricia (Scott) Mamchur; Jacque Lawrence of Medicine Hat, AB and her children Cliff (Janet) Haddow and Melissa Haddow; Marilyn Waugh of Regina, SK and her son Jason (Kelly) Waugh; Rodney (Andrea) Lawrence of Calgary, AB and their daughter Lindsay Lawrence; and Tammey (Rob) Hugo of St. Albert, AB and their son Curt Hugo. Veronica was a very special great grandma GG to all her great grandchildren. Veronica is also survived by her sisters Kathleen Grimes, Evelyn Johnson, Marie Gheyssen and Josephine (Jack) Sweeney; as well as her many special nieces and nephews. Veronica was born at her parent's homestead on the farm near Lampman, SK. She married Ken Lawrence on October 22, 1946 and resided in the Browning and Lampman area until moving to Regina in 1990. She worked and trained in nursing in Estevan and after marriage, worked in the Browning store and post office while raising her family. We will always cherish the memories of her wonderful sense of humour as well as her love for the entire family. We will always miss you and your loving spirit, which will live on through your family. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Browning Cemetery, Browning SK at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Veronica's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8. Extending deepest sympathy to each of you in the loss of your mother and grandmother.I remember Veronica as a beautiful gentle person who always had a smile for one.
