Veronica Archibeque Wheeler

Veronica Archibeque Wheeler of Tucson, AZ died Saturday December 14, 2013 at UMC Hospital. She was born March 13, 1948 in Bloomfield, New Mexico, she is preceded in death by her parents, Narciso and Carmelita; three brothers, Narciso Jr., Fred, and Onofre Archibeque; two sisters, Della Gallegos and Dorthy Cleveland. Veronica is survived by her husband of 22 years, Gary Wheeler. Also surviving is her brother, Mike Archibeque and sister, Alice Watson; she has two daughters, Michelle Bevins, Dorella Anaya and a son, Narciso Selph; seven grandchildren, Amber and Michael Bevins, Celina and Christina Anaya, Ashley, Meghan and Anthony Selph and several nieces and nephews. Veronica carved her legacy on the hearts of those she knew, her faith was unwavering. She loved her family, always giving of herself unselfishly, listening was one of her greatest gifts, as a Mother she calmed our fears, and disappointments, with her warm heart and gentle sense of humor she taught us patience, hope and to be thankful and celebrate our victories. She loved to garden, and cook, yet quilting was the special way she wove her legacy of binding love to her grandkids during the blessed season of Christmas. Nana Sunshine will be greatly missed by all. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows, 1800 S. Kolb Rd., Tucson, AZ.
