Vicki Ayers, 68, of Chandler, AZ formerly of Newkirk, OK, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. A private burial will be held in Dexter Cemetery. Vicki was born on June 3, 1943 in Winfield, Kansas to Donald and Marjorie Treadway. She attended public schools in Newkirk and completed her degree at Northern Oklahoma College in 1963. Growing up, she was active in 4H and was a FFA queen. After finishing college, she worked at Boeing and Coleman in Wichita. In 1975, Vicki moved to Chicago. Vicki had two daughters. During her children's younger years, she was a homemaker raising her children taking them to swim practice, music lessons and choir where she and her family were active in the local Methodist Church. In 1986, Vicki moved to Elkhart, Indiana where she lived for six years before moving to Chandler, Arizona in 1992. While in Arizona, Vicki pursued employment in the local gaming industry where she became a Keno Manager. In her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time with family, traveling with friends and visiting with her neighbors. Vicki is survived by her mother, Marjorie Treadway, of rural Newkirk, Oklahoma and her brother, Donald Dean Treadway, Jr. And wife Robbyn of Amarillo, Texas. Her two daughters, Kelly (Ayers) and son-in-law, John Olmstead, of Upper Arlington, Ohio and her daughter Cinde Ayers of Redwood City, California. And her two grandchildren, Camille and Lauren Olmstead. Vicki was preceded in death by her father Donald Dean Treadway. A memorial has been established with the Newkirk Public Library. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com.
