Ms Yeary was my Art Teacher in 1971/72 and 1972/73. The second year my schedule was wrong and didn't allow room for this Art Major to have an Art Class until I dropped Algebra II (which I didn't need to graduate) then dropped the Study Hall that replaced it so that Ms. Yeary and Vice-Principal Gilmore allowed me to have the first Independent Art Class during Ms Yeary's planning period. She was always supportive of her students. As the year progressed my lone class started drawing in others (from Study Hall but not officially "in class") so that at the end of the year there were almost a dozen of us. Thanks to Ms Yeary and the credit I earned for that Independent Class I only needed Senior English to graduate a year early, which I did a couple of weeks before my class returned to school in August after taking it in the summer. She was a wonderful teacher and a kind person.
