Vickie Brugnara (February 12, 1941 - July 2, 2023)

Victoria Lee Brugnara (Ribera) passed away Sunday July 2, 2023. Born and raised in San Francisco, she attended St. Monica's elementary school, Presentation high school in San Francisco and studied at City College of San Francisco.and San Francisco State University. Vickie dedicated most of her life to raising her children but also worked as a school teacher at Holy Name in San Francisco for many years. Family and friends fondly recall Vickie's great Christmas and Thanksgiving parties which brought together her loved ones from near and far and created cherished memories. Vickie loved spending time with her grandchildren, walks in Golden Gate Park and listening to classical music. She also enjoyed spending time in Yountville.

Vickie is preceded in death by her beloved husband Aleo, her brothers Ernie Ribera, Gil Ribera, Paul Ribera, her father Ernest, mother Lucy and her sister-in-law Shirley Ribera.

She is survived by her sons Aleo Brugnara, Eric Brugnara, Luke Brugnara (Kay), her daughter Krista Brugnara, her sister Carmen Ribera and brother Tony Ribera (Cathy). Vickie is also survived by her seven loving grandchildren Luke Brugnara II, Vincent Brugnara, Lauren Brugnara, Brianna Brugnara (who affectionately referred to Vickie as Va-Va), Nathaniel Brugnara, Nicholas Brugnara, Thomas Brugnara, her sister-in-law Sue Ribera, her former daughter-in-law Liz Lee and many nephews and nieces.

A memorial mass was held for Vickie at St. Ignatius church in San Francisco on July 14, 2023.

We are so sad to learn of the passing of Vickie. On behalf of the Urbiztondo Family we send our deepest condolences. Out thoughts and prayers are with her family and all those who knew and loved her. We shared many happy memories with Aleo & Vickie. We were fortunate to have shared this fun hike with them visiting the Pinnacles National Park.
