Victor cut my husband's hair and prepared out income tax for several years. My husband used to come home a tell me stories that Victor told him while cutting his hair, and yes, we did buy come cars from him for our grandsons. When he retired we was missed very much by our family. He was truly a very nice man.

My sincerest condolences to the Bencomo family for their loss. I have such fond memories of Victor and his family. Most of which were from my childhood. I remember staying at the Bencomo house many times over the years with my family (Ray Torres, Teresa Torres & Abby Torres) whenever we came to visit from San Jose (from 1970-1980). I always felt welcomed, and could feel all the love in the house. I will never forget their hospitality, nor Uncle Victor's smiling face and laughter. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend services and see the family again. The video collage tribute was a definite highlight. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Bencomo family during their time of mourning.

I loved the photos published with Vic's obituary; his smile never changed! Vic began cutting my hair when I was 12 years old at the time my family moved to Fresno in 1955, and he was the "young kid" at the shop on Broadway nearby the location of my parents business, the original downtown Fresno TraveLodge, now the site of Chukchansi Park. AFter returning to Fresno in 1981, I was happy to reconnect with my favorite barber and continued the association until about 10 years ago when my hair got too thin to warrant his ministrations. I'd stop in on occasion just to chat and Vic was always welcoming. I'm sorry I hadn't done so recently. Vic was a fine gentleman and a proud American. My best wishes and deepest sympathy to Cecilia and his family.

Cecilia and family, My sister and I send our deepest sympathy to you and all your family. Victor was so kind and caring to our father, George Davis when he was ill. Also you and Victor visitied our mother when she had hip surgery. Your care and concern meant so much to all our family. The service for Victor honored and remembered the fine man that he was. My first barber after USMC in 1963. Shop was on Broadway and he cut my hair and discussed the world for over 30 years both there and on Cedar. A class guy and a great American. Will always remember him.

Vic started out as just my barber in 1974, but over the years became a friend I would visit and just happen to get a haircut as we talked. He was a very special person that I will miss very much. My prayers are with the family in their grief.

Celia and Family,
Our friendship with your families goes back to our wonderful teen years, particularly as students at San Joaquin Memorial and parishiners of St. Alphonsus church. Victor was always friendly and respectful, and later a wonderful family man. We will always cherish pleasant thoughts of him. Surely his absence will be missed by all of us who were fortunate to have known him. Our deepest sympathy to Celia and family.
