Trish, Amber, & Aaron,
My deepest sympathies to all of you and your family. Vic was a good friend & a great man who will truly be missed by all that have known him. My fondest memory is hanging out in the shed before the garage was built, and drinking beer with him. He always made fun of my Old Milwaukee & I made fun of his Busch that he always drank. Rest in peace my friend. You were one of the best!

Trisch, Amber & Aaron, I am very sorry for your loss. While I haven't seen your Victor for 25-30 years I thought of him and talked of him often. I was a neighbor to Tava Stahl and grew up with Rosie, Brian and Liz. My parents were very close to Ray and Tava, so I spent a lot of time with Victor plus Scottie and Carolyn. Matt and Mike Sofa too. I was the youngest of the bunch. From riding mini-bikes in "the woods" to playing shuffle alley at the Mercantile club I have nothing but great memories of Victor. Even back then he was full of life and kept Vic and Pauline busy. There was always a Victor story. Aaron, I followed your high school football career. I was always proud to tell people that "I know that kids dad". I can tell from reading the other posts, that Victor touched many peoples lives in a positive way. I know he touched mine. God Bless.

Dear Aaron and Bortz Family, The news of your fathers passing has sadden our hearts. Though we were part of your family for a short period of time we had seen that special bond your family has... this bond will see you and your family through this most trying and painful time. You and your family will be in our hearts and our prayers.

Victor, you will be missed greatly. Not sure how something as simple as hearing your truck start up to leave for work every morning or hearing it rip through the alley could leave such a hole in my heart but it does. I will miss you on your tractor, late nights hanging out in the garage with you and Trisch, old bessie stories, hearing "hi Stepher" and most of all the annoyed look on your face when Scott would block the alley. Words cannot express how much you will be missed but we were blessed to have you as our neighbor and we will NEVER forget you. Trisch, Amber & Aaron, if you need anything we are just two doors down.

Trish, Aaron and Amber, I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that we are thinking of all of you and if you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask. He was a great husband and father. You are all in our prayers. Lisa, Ashley, Tony and Tyler

Trish Aaron and Amber, I can not find the words to express how much Victor will be missed. Your family has become part of ours here and we will always be here if you need us. I know Victor will be looking down from heaven laughing with us each time we roll "The Victor" out. His easy laugh, his willingness to always help out with anything that needed to get done and his sense of humor will be so sadly missed here.We will smile when we see "Fuzzy" guarding her post for him. We have wonderful memories of Victor that will be with us always, and feel so lucky to have had him be a part of our lives.
