Victor Dubuclet Jr.

Victor A. Dubuclet, Jr., a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA, passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 96. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor A. Dubuclet, Sr. and Grace Fouche. He is mourned by his sister, Marlene D'Orville. He is survived by his sons, Victor A. Dubuclet, III and Eric Dubuclet (Glenda), and daughter Michele Frazer (Albert). He was a proud grandfather to Victor A. Dubuclet, IV (Jodi), Erin Johnson (Byron), Alyssa and Albert Frazer, Jr. He was a loving great grandfather to Victor, V, Dylan, Aiden and Oliver Dubuclet, and Amaree R Bolden. He is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. After being Honorably Discharged in 1946, he joined the US Customs Service. He became a US Customs Inspector and rose to the rank of Supervisor of Inspection, commanding the operations of the US Customs Office at the New Orleans International Airport until his retirement in 1986. During his tenure, he was recognized and cited by the United States Government for his discovery and disruption of an attempted major drug smuggling operation from Central America at the airport.
