I will alway remember Vic and Jan as the came out of a mutual friends house to get in her car before they were married. The way they looked at each other was magic. She was a pearl without price and he, with the help of God found her. As Elder Jeffrey R Holland will join Pat one day so Jan one day will join Vic forever more. What a wonderful day that will be, together forever at last with their family. Till then, I pray that Vic's spirit will be allowed to come close so Jan would feel his presents and be comforted.

From our days on the football field at OIympus Vic has always been a hero to me. He was, I believe, the fastest man on our team. His life was a great tribute to his beliefs. I am grateful to have known him.

Vic was a truly great human being.
He dearly loved his family and his church and his church missions.

Vic and I served together with the Tachers Quorum in the Bellevue 1st Ward. I was one of my first callings. He was an example and mentor. We haven't seen each other in over 40 years, but our association and his memory lives on.

A Titan in school, a titan on the court and playing field, and a titan in his profession. We knew about the first two, now we are pleased to learn of the third. Vic was an Olympus High School Titan in the class of ´59. He very active in student life and was widely known, admired, and respected among his classmates. He was an incredibly talented and hard-working multisport sport athlete-football, baseball, basketball where he was the starting point guard, and was team captain in the latter two. When the letterman´s club, the athletes of the school, met to address the issue of several not following team rules or conducting themselves in the exemplary way expected of students of admired status, it was Vic who took the lead and explained that after his allegiance to God, next came his commitment to his coach, and all in the room should consider their priorities the same and conduct themselves accordingly. He won our respect. Incidentally, he also won the affections of the cutest cheerleader. After high school we are pleased to see his path led to continued service to God and to the field of dentistry and leadership in preparing the next generations of doctors of dental medicine. We are pleased to see he lived the remainder of his life in the same exemplary way we knew he did in high school. A true Victor in life, he was aptly named. We express deep sympathy to his family he evidently loved and served so well, who were the main beneficiaries of his goodness.

I'm deeply sorry to learn of Vic's passing. Living just around the corner from each other while growing up in Holladay we spent countless hours together,
then went on active duty together in the Army Reserves. Sadly our paths didn't cross after our missions. We did however end up in the same profession, he in Washington and myself in Salt Lake City. My prayers go out to his family.

Vic served with Elder `Ted´ Barker in Norway, in the early sixties. Ted talked of Elder Johansen fondly! Ted has passed, so they are sharing many great times together. May your Family feel peace at this time !!!
