This is a great loss to everyone that knew Vic as he has touched so many throughout his life. At some Shrine functions, he would be busy taking pictures or doing whatever else needed to be done, that he would finally enjoy his "after dinner" scotch when most had already left. I will truly miss the stories and the talks that we had "over his scotch".

Dear Family,
My heart felt thoughts come your way at this time of your fathers passing. I am sorry that I will not be able to "celebrate" with you as I am in Australia at this time. The Spear family have many wonderful memories of the big heart that your father had and the good times you all had on your "house boat" adventures. Please know that you are in my prayers and may you find peace and hope in God's tender mercies that you will be together again.Love, Carolyn Brooks

I'm very sorry for your loss. I, of course; did not know him well but, what I did know was, he was a kind , intelligent , stand-up kinda guy that enjoyed life to the fullest and especially his family and friends. I liked his alertness and sense of humor and his involvement with his community activities. I also could see his admiration and respect for his children and their lives. I believe you can be proud of him and how he conducted his life. You must have some great memories to sustain you through your grief. I hope you have an opportunity during his memorial service to honor him with happy memories and say good bye with warmth in your hearts. I'm sure he would have wanted it that way , sadness is what we feel for ourselves being left behind. Again, my sincere sympathies to all of you. I will raise a coffee and baileys to toast Vic's life and memory....and I mean that with the utmost respect. Have a good day. With love and condolences ..Helen Leboldus
