Victor you already earned your wings while on earth. We all knew it when we looked at you and saw the twinkle in your eye. Godspeed good and faithful servant. -Maureen DiBattiste

Life can be very painful, but Victor kept working, applying his large fund of knowledge for the benefit of our patients and the education of his colleagues and students.

A beautiful soul with a passion for care and education, Dr. Scott will be missed. I was fortunate to have worked with Dr. Scott. He was one of many people who helped guide me professionally. Though he may never know what an inspiration he was to me, I hope he found happiness in seeing the transformation of those he touched. You will be missed, Dr. Scott but never forgotten. Until we meet again, sir.

My dear friend Victor was a remarkable individual. He cared deeply about everyone around him, and his compassion knew no bounds.
Victor´s life was filled with countless accomplishments, but one that is especially dear to me is the key role he played in establishing ISMETT, a state-of-the-art transplant facility in my hometown, Palermo, Italy. ISMETT has become a beacon of hope and healing. Victor poured his heart and soul into making this dream a reality, a lasting legacy of his incredible commitment and leadership.
It has been a privilege to work alongside such a talented and caring person, and an honor to call him a friend. Victor will be deeply missed. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the patients he cared for, and the countless individuals who were inspired by his passion.
Goodbye, my dear friend. Rest in peace.

Victor was a very important person in my life. He helped shape my destiny. I am a pediatric anesthesiologist because of his mentorship and I was able to bring my family here through his help. I owe Victor a lot and I will miss him dearly. There is not a day in which I don´t think of him. My only regret is that I didn´t spend more time with him. Even in his death he taught me something. I learned that time is now. Not tomorrow or some other day, but now.

Victor cared deeply for his friends. He would sacrifice his own safety to ensure that his friends were secure and out of harm´s way. Victor helped me to dust myself off, pick myself up and move forward in pursuing life as it should be lived. He was my cherished friend and "Big Brother". I will forever look up to his example of living life with gusto.

Victor was a great friend and collaborator in caring for patients needing transplant. He welcomed me to his home for many a Thanksgiving dinner when I was a new fellow and his hospitality was amazing. We worked together on research in the lab and to care for the sickest of the sick in the hospital. Rest in Peace, Victor.
