Dear Joyce and family,

We were very sad to hear of Vic's passing and offer our sincerest condolences to you and his family.

We knew Vic well. Jim served with Vic in the Royal Canadian Navy doing Basic Training and Radio Communications Trade Groups I and II together. They also served on the same first ship (HMCS Chaudiere) together. Many a beer and pickled egg was shared at the Seahorse Tavern followed by the best pizza in the world on Barrington Street or fish and chips at Camille's on North Street in Halifax. Jim and Vic also served together in the Department of External Affairs and saw Vic in Alberta in the following years. Jim also had the honour to be Vic's Best Man.

Vic will be missed.

Joyce:

Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your profound loss. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I knew Victor well during our tenure in the Navy. Victor was in CR138 and I in CR137. We spent some time together in and around our combined training period.
