VICTOR VAN FLEET Obituary
Victor Van Fleet, age 51, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in
Las Vegas, Nev. He was born on July 18, 1954 in Parker, Ariz.
Victor was a Fort Mojave Tribal Member.
He attended Sheeman Indian High School in
Riverside, Calif and the University of
Anchorage in Alaska. Victor worked for
Children Services, was Recreation Director of
the Ft. Mojave Indian Tribe, a foster parent,
Ward Valley Protector and a heavy weight
boxer. He was also in the U.S. Army in
Special Operations.
Victor is survived by his wife, Lily Van Fleet;
sons, Demetrius, Myhi and Glenn Kalmakoff,
Jr.; daughters, Ruth Neskahi, Deolena
Kalmakoff, Mariam Van Fleet, and Deanna
Van Fleet; grandsons, Randell Thomas, Benton
Watts, Jehoshaphat Kalmakoff; granddaughters,
Ashley Watts, Rachel Neskahi, Cynthia
Neskahi, Trinity Neskahi, Tonya Rose,
Damien Van Fleet, Miley Kalmakoff, Kayla Phillip, Shannowa Van Fleet
and Tiani Van Fleet.
Church services are at 3:00 pm. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Fort
Mojave Tribal Gym, 500 Merriman St., Needles, Calif. 92363
