Judy,Tom,Bob and family,we are so sorry for your loss. I'm so sorry that we didn't get a chance to make her funeral. I'm so glad that I will get to write a few words about Aunt Vickie. Ever since I was a little girl, I have never forgotten her kindness. She always had a smile for me and she always had the cutest sense of humor. She was such a hard worker and really enjoyed people. She always found the good in everyone. But I know most of all how important her family was to her. She was such a good person, I know she is in heaven with Uncle Hank. We have been offering our prayers and Masses for her.

Tom, Judy & Bob, I am sooo sorry I did not make the visitation last night. Had some slight medical issues over the weekend and, to be honest, I completely forgot. Aunt Vickie was the coolest aunt and I remember so well the nights at the 'tavern', the big old dog and then going back to the house. I'm sure, however, you dad is happy to see her again.

Tom, Judy, Bob and family. We are so sorry for your loss. Aunt Vickie was such a love. She was one of the most giving person we known. A wise woman. No wonder that many
sought her counsel. We always said that Aunt Vickie was the glue that held the family together.

May she rest in peace and let perpetual Light shine upon her. Our love to all,
Larry & Mary

I've just checked in for our flight and packed my bag for Thomas and I to fly in tomorrow to be with all of you. It's so sweet to read all these memories, stories, and think about how many lives your mom touched. She was a giant among women-so strong, so loyal, so kind, so independent, and so darn funny. I cherish how much she loved Steve, Will, Audrey, and Thomas and how interested she was in our lives. Our lives will be less sweet without her $2 bills. I'm so glad we all got to sing happy birthday to her and that she laughed at how many times Will asked her how old she was.

The day she died, my car broke down in downtown Portland. It took me almost 3 hours to get home. When the tow truck driver and I finally arrived home, I had no cash but I knew where one of the kids $2 bills was. So we gave it to him, told him about your mom, how she had just died that day, and that it was for his 2 year old (don't worry we have plenty more). See...she will always touch people.

Lots of love, Colleen and crew

Judy, I was so sad to hear about the passing of your Mom. What a great lady! Your Mom was a wonderful role model to us by showing us how she was able to help your Dad with their business and still raise a family. She was ahead of her time! Keep your memories in your heart and know that she is at peace and together again with your Dad. With deepest sympathy.

So sorry for your loss Judy.and family/
.I hope you like the poem below..that my mom left us to read when she passed..it helped me grieve...

To my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know,
that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from the Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above.
Here there are no more tears of sadness.
Here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you
every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you
when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me
and He said, ”I welcome you.

It's good to have you back again,
you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family,
They'll be here later on."

God gave me a list of things,
that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list,
was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night
the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you...
in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth,
and all those loving years,
because you are only human,
they are bound to bring you tears.

But do not be afraid to cry:
it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers,
unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you
all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you,
you wouldn't understand.

But one thing is for certain,
though my life on earth is over.
I'm closer to you now,
than I ever was before.

There are rocky roads ahead of you
and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it
by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy
and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world,
the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody
who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night...
"My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented...
that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along
I made somebody smile.

God says: "If you meet somebody
who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up,
as on your way you go.

When you're walking down the street
with me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps
only half a step behind."

"And when it's time for you to go...
from that body to be free.
Remember you're not going...
you're coming here to me."
