Martha Pansy Bishop Rouse Shepherd

SHEPHERD, MARTHA PANSY BISHOP ROUSE, of Shepherdsville, KY, died Wednesday November 14, 2007 in London KY. She was born in Bullitt County, KY, on February 16, 1919. Pansy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter W. and Mary Tucker Bishop; sisters, Anna Bishop Crosby, Lula Bishop Bischoff; brothers, William, Johnny, Morse, Elmer and Tommie Bishop. Pansy and her first husband Anderson D. Rouse celebrated 50 years of marriage prior to his death in 1990. They had three children who miss their mother greatly. Bobbie D. Rouse (Wa) of Shepherdsville, Lyndia Rouse Glasgow (Glenn) of River Forest, IL and Sheila Rouse Truett (Jim) of London, KY. Pansy is also survived by five grandchildren, Sam Rouse, Cindi Hill, Amanda Thompson, Kris Nelson and Elizabeth Rouse of Glasgow, KY; three step grandchildren, William Truett, Jay Truett and Bao Ho. Her great grandchildren Rosalind, Thomas and Duncan were a great joy to her. Pansy was blessed to enjoy the love and devotion of her sister-in-law Thelma Bishop and her dearest friend and caregiver Berniece Greenwell. Pansy was also the widow of Howard Shepherd. Following a private family service, Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 8 p.m. Friday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
