We really miss Vijaya's smile, her laugh and her upbeat disposition. We also just really miss her company as our "get togethers" are not the same without her.

We were all blessed to have worked with your wife, she was quite a gem! May your heart be filled with peace and strength at this difficult time.

Dear Dr Dontu,
My heart breaks for you and your family. It was always such a joy working with Dr Tummala at the hospital but I also enjoyed her friendship. I remember so well, giggling like girls when her hair came in curly and she flashed that smile as only she could do. I will be praying for you and your family as you begin this difficult journey.

It is so sad to see such a kind and knowledgeable physician, mother, and wife taken far too soon. Our condolences are with your family.

Vijaya was such an amazing person. She was a wonderful physician and she fought her cancer with grace and courage and always had a smile on her face. We shared so many fun times with her, Vijay, Pragnya and Vignya but wish we had much more time. We will miss her so, so much.

She was such an incredibly sweet person and pleasure to work with. She will be missed by all.

It was a pleaseure to get to know Dr. Tummala first as a intern at York Hospital, as our friendship grew she became more than a doctor to us. Her kind and passion to care for her patients was amazing. She was missed greatly when she had to step away from the bedside. My prayers to her family at this time. She will forever have a part of my heart.

She is amazing! A phenomenal Dr when I worked with her at the hospital and always appreciative when I saw her at the office! She fought a good fight. So sad for her family!

She was a special woman. I will always remember her and her fighting spirit to combat her cancer. I am a retired nurse from Cancer Care Assoc. who took care of her for a few years before I retired in 2016. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband and daughters.
