Guyton - Vilane Marie Hicks, 44, died on Sunday, May 4, 2003 at St. Josephs hospital. Born in Chatham County, Mrs. Hicks had lived in Guyton for a number of years. She was employed with St. Josephs Hospital as an Operating Room Supply Technician. She enjoyed camping, racing and spending time with her family. Survivors: children, Nicole Marie Hicks, and Charles Steven Hicks,both of Guyton, grandchildren McKayla Hicks, Charles Steven Hicks, Jr., and Jordan Tyler Hicks, all of Guyton; former husband, Joseph Steven Hicks of Guyton; brothers, Harry Lee of Guyton, Herbert Lee of CA, Wayne Lee of Pooler, Gerald Lee of Savannah, Randy Lee of Savannah, Chris Lee of Hinesville and Herman Lee, Jr. of Savannah; a number of nieces and nephews; companion, Mark Susen of SC; partner in crime, Collette Moore of Savannah, and a number of friends including James Best of Guyton. Visitation: 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6 at the funeralhome. Funeral Services: 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7 in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial: private. Thomas C. Words cannot express how i feeling about now. Vilane was one of the most kindest human beings i know. It was a pleasure and an honor knowing her. I will truly, truly miss her. May you rest in peace my sweet soul sister.
