Behrens, 86, of Harvard, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock.He was born in Alden to Louis and Hazel Behrens. He married June Olstad on July 3, 1946.He retired after 30 years with Autolite in Woodstock.He was a member of the Harvard Moose, Woodstock Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Woodstock American Legion Post. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II.Survivors include his wife of 60 years; a daughter, Linda Evans of Johnsburg; a brother, Melvin Behrens of Hebron; a sister, Evelyn Pratt of Harvard; his grandchildren, Kimberly Crilly of Johnsburg, Krista Tidaback of Bloomington and Chad Braker of Wonder Lake; his great-grandchildren, Steve and Jamie Crutchfield, Ryan and Kyle Tidaback and Victoria Braker; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Viola; and a brother, Dave.The visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, until the funeral at noon at McHenry County Memorial Park, 11301 Lake Ave., Woodstock.For information, call Windridge Funeral Home in Cary at (847) 639-2191.Sign the guest book at www.
