I'm sure there are right words to be found,I'm less sure about seeking them. I loved him, we loved words, music, dancing, basketball, the edge.. his loss is not romantic , it's a sadness . I love him still,

Condolences to the family on the loss of a fine human being. I had the pleasure of working with Vince in recent years. He was an excellent writer with a brilliant mind. I will always remember his wit, humour and eagerness to share stories as well as introducing me to new music. I will miss him.

Vince was a rock and roller with a gentler quieter side, who passed on his dry wit, with his love for music, but remained loyal to rock and roll. A true child of the boom generation, though the tail end, which was left the scraps, and the reality of this generation was that idealism was knocked out of them by the failures of the boomers before them which left the void of the following generation. The difficulty for all was how to live with courage and dignity in the void. Truth is, that it required a transformation that some found easier than others, a less romantic side, were reality reined supreme, and an acceptance of a roller as the forerunner of the next generation, ever to be young again. Musically the transition is easy; ideologically the transition is somewhat less than smooth. Vince you go before us to smooth the way and we cherish you for that, helping us to be guided as you always did by the music in transition.
My condolences to all and my extreme apologies for non-attendance but my son of the the generation above spoken will be there representing us both and of course my lovely and true sister.

Dear Erin & Winnie, Our deepest condolences. So many wonderful memories of Vince from those early days - his delight in Erin & Brennan's relationship, his kindness to Brennan, his wry smile, his dry humour, those frequent impromptu dinners. Basmati rice, broccoli, carrots & almonds always make me think of him! A kind, caring, gentle man. Peace on his soul. Lots of Love

Although I had not had contact with Vince in many years, I do have fond memories of him through my business dealings with Foreign Affairs. It was a pleasure to call him a good client then and I welcomed our interaction on projects. I know his co-workers thought very highly of him as I did. A warm and kind person he was.
