You meet many people along your journey in life, and for some mysterious reason, some stand above the rest. Vince is one of these people. I have only known him a short few years in time, but his memory will remain in my heart for the rest of my days. I have such happy memories of sitting and talking with him about his experiences with the Civil Air Patrol, his extensive knowledge of the sky, weather, and the outdoors. He had such stories to tell about his life in Philadelphia; such as the the "brick street that disappeared", or where to find the best cheesesteaks. With him, I reverted back to the little girl who asks "why is the sky blue?" I had so much to learn, and he had so much to teach.
Vince's kindness, caring, stories, "lessons", and selflessness brought such joy to my life. His smile when telling a story, or explaining a slice of history that I inquired about will remain etched in my mind forever. I am such a history buff and could not wait to ask him about the WWII planes that I saw in Reading last week. Regretfully, I missed calling him by one day.
I will never forget you, Vincenzo! You took a piece of my heart with you, but I am forever changed by your extraordinary friendship! You truly are a man that "flies" above so many!! I love you eternally!

My dad would always do more for the ones he cared about, then for himself.
