Vince and Cindy and my wife Jan and were attending a partners meeting in OKC. We rented a car, went out for dinner the night before the meeting and we became lost in a long rainstorm. Rather than ask the ladies for direction, Vince and I drove for an hour before admitting we were totally lost., whereupon we all laughed heartily for several moments.

I remember Vince fondly for his infectious smile, his accounting skills, his trivia acumen and as a pillar at Northridge. His encyclopedic knowledge on a wide range of subjects was a wonder to behold. So sorry Susan and I are out of the country and won´t be able to attend memorial.

My fondest memory of Vince is his beautiful smile and his readiness to always help. This earned his nickname Sherpa. (I think also from lugging all Cindy´s suitcases.)
We shall miss you and shall cherish the fond memories shared in France together
Sincere condolences to Cindy and the family.

Vince recently was a pitcher on my senior softball team. In his first game, he sprinted off the mound to cover 3rd base - an unusually rare "heads up" play! As Yogi Berra said, baseball is 90% mental, and the other half is physical. Vince had the mental acumen of an excellent baseball player!

So sad to hear this news. Vince was a fine gentleman and a great colleague during the days of the PW Philadelphia Tax Department of the 1970s. His laugh was infectious and we shared may funny moments during late night work sessions over several tax seasons. I´m sorry to have not known of his illness and would have enjoyed reaching out, reminiscing with him and hearing his chuckle again. Rest in peace my friend. My deepest condolences to his family. He will be deeply missed.

We hope and pray that the friends we make along the way will be filled with love and kindness ... and be fun, too! Vince left us all lots of memories that will be passed on for generations. We will miss him and send much love to Cindy, Erika and Matthew and your entire family as you remember the good times.

I was his training person when he started volunteering at the President George W. Bush Library, we stuck up a friendship and went on a tour of Gettysburg and other civil war battlefields. He is my friend always.
