Peg, Vinny and family - so sorry to hear about your husband and Dad. He was our idol around Holy Name and was my coach for Vins Gym in the NABA league where we became friends. He was one of a kind and a truly humble man. He will be missed by many. RIP big Vin

Peg, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. You moved 13 or 14 fourteen years ago and I still miss you as neighbors! I can still see Vin sitting across the street in his folding chair. How I loved both of you as neighbors and how sad I was when you moved. My all the fond memories of him sustain you for the rest of your life.

Vin was a basketball pioneer. Incorporating into his game in his youth in the North End a variety of moves and shots from all points on the floor which he brought to high school and Army basketball never seen before in basketball, and on to Mississippi where he for two years was the JUCO scoring king with an overall game which had fans in awe and NBA, ABA and college officials as well. Vin became the starting center at D1 Kentucky on the national stage. At every game i attended in which Vin Jr played in Vin Sr was there!
