To remember you is easy , there is not a day that goes by that you are not in my heart and on my mind. It's missing you that is one of the most difficult parts, and thinking that I have to accept this is still unbearable , this isn't, wasn't how it was supposed to be ..... I pray that one day YOU , your FAMILY , your TRUE FRIENDS and MYSELF can find some true inner peace knowing that there will be some sort of accountability by someone or something somewhere along the lines ... Until then rest easy my love, my friend , my mentor .. #1434ever my Angel !

I always go back to those days of innocence when We would have our plans and schemes! One day I remember I. Particular it was about 1971 and we deciided to play sick from school. While our mothers let us stay home they caught us on the phone discussing how we got over on them! I think we both got a taste of the wooden spoon that day! Rest In Peace my friend!

Today is a rough one, I don't know why, I guess the holidays have me reminiscing of better days long since past. You'd be counting down the hours until Xmas Eve dinner and conjuring up various ways to mess with me if you were still with us. Nothing has been the same since. They say with time it gets easier, for me it's only gotten harder. I can't seem to get used to this new normal. I kinda could use a little help right now.
Praying you have found the peace you sought, praying for some of my own as well. You are missed greatly Uncle Vince. Rest easy.

I'm sorry. You knew I liked to feed and rescue cats.I should have given you my baby - boy kitten "Rocky" instead of keeping him for myself. I know he would be as loving towards you as he is with me.Maybe he would have kept you going. I never had anyone just let me talk without wanting something in return. I speak of you,as if you are in the present, because it is my belief that pure souls with good intentions, never leave us alone on this earth, for a reason.Thank you for your kindness and help with my trust issues. You went above and beyond your position as an Officer- you were a gentleman:)

Vince, I still can't believe you're gone. I was so blessed to have you in my life for many years. You were always there to lend a helping hand or listening ear. I think most are feeling like myself right now. Very sad but also thinking about all the good times, your stories and the belly laughs we all got from you. You were the epitome of all that was good with law-enforcement. You loved your job and rarely took sick time or a vacation. You were a stand-up guy and represented the department well. Rest now Vince. Well done! Veronica (Vern)

I had the honor, privilege and pleasure of knowing Vinny for most of my 20-year career. My earliest memories of Vinny are when he was in the Stakeout Unit and he always showed up on any job where someone, myself included, needed some backup. Vinny could ALWAYS be counted on. On the Philadelphia Police Department, we have a saying for that. Its called being a "cop's cop". Vinny was a "cop's cop". To have that said about you is the highest honor. I hope you know how much you were loved and respected by the men and women of the Philadelphia Police Department.
Moving forward, I had the honor and pleasure of working with Vinny for 3 days in a row when Pope Francis was visiting Philadelphia in September of 2015. We worked 16-hour shifts and being with Vinny, the 16-hour shifts felt like 16 minutes. Vinny made the time fly by with his great conversations and his quick wit. I enjoyed every minute that we were assigned together and I look back and cherish each moment even more so now that he is in cop heaven. Recently, we had occasion to run into each other and subsequent to that, we had 2 different times where we had long telephone conversations. I am so thankful for that now that you are gone. Vinny, my heart is absolutely broken at losing you on this earth, so all I can think to say right now is "until we see each other again in cop heaven again my good friend". I love you and I miss you, my cherished friend. Sincerely, Bob Ritchie.

I had the honor and privilege of working with Vinny for 3 days during Pope Francis' September 2015 visit to Philadelphia. We worked 16-hour shifts and Vinny made the time fly by. He was so much fun to be around and I enjoyed our conversations, our detail together protecting the Pope, our meals together, every moment of it. To say Vinny was a gentleman doesn't do him any justice. He was the tried and true definition of a gentleman, one helluva great cop and an all around good man. He loved the men and women of the Philadelphia Police Department and I just hope that he knows how much we all loved him back. Vinny, my heart is absolutely broken and I am so glad that not only did we run into each other a few weeks ago, but we had two different occasions since then to have long telephone conversations and I look back now and am so thankful for that. I miss you terribly. Until we see each other again in cop heaven my friend. Sincerely, Bob Ritchie.
